Removing the Preamp From My Jazz Deluxe

I have zero clue why I bought a jazz deluxe. I hate dealing with the preamp and would love to pull it out and return to a passive VVT control plate.

Are there reasons why a novice tech should not attempt this?

it's pretty easy. watch some videos on youtube. there are tons of good info. After you watch a few you'l feel confident

If you know how to use a soldering iron, go for it. Just de-solder a few connections and it’s outa there.
