Hey there,

I'm new to double bass and I'm loving it. I have been an electric bass for 8 years. So it's different to me but I am liking it.

I do have an issue. I have played it a few times and today I took out my bass and there was this buzzing sound coming from the bottom. Any note I play at any dynamic level does this.

What do you think the issue is? Let me know if you know anything

You need to get the bass to a repair person (a good one!) It is an open seam or a crack. These little buzzes can drive a performer crazy, so get the bass fixed. And if you live in a dry climate, be sure to keep the bass humidified a bit - somehow. I keep my bass in a trunk and have a moist towel hanging in the trunk.
Best!

On most acoustic basses there is a wooden rod that goes from front to back inside the body under the bridge to give the arched top support where all that pressure under the bridge is. Usually it is just wedged in there, sometimes they come loose, if it's coming loose it may fall out if you don't wedge it back immediately and it's a PAIN in the arse to get it right again. I would have a luthier check this and re-wedge it if that is the problem:)
