Replacement pups for my Sadowsky RV5

hi everyone, I have a Sadowsky RV5 that has the standard humcanceling pickups in it... I love everything about the bass but feel that these pickups sound a bit compressed, too smooth and mid scooped. I’m looking to put single coil pickups in it and need help choosing a set. I have narrowed it down to these:

-Sadowsky singles (Duncan or Nordstrand)
-Nordstrand NJ5 70s wind

If you have other suggestions, please feel free to comment.

I had the same issue. I swapped for Sadowsky singles and the difference was very subtle. Swapped for Nordstrands and was much happier. Of course, YMMV.

Which sadowsky sc. Di you have?.
They are either nordstrand or duncans.. which nordstrand are you using no w 70s wind or 60s wind ?

I don't have the bass any more, and I don't remember now... I think this might have been just before Sadowsky started using Nordstrands, so it was probably Duncan singles, and then I probably swapped those for the Nordstrand singles which were probably the same as the current 60s.
