I have a 1976 Ric 4001 that I am running stereo. Bass pickup clean through GK Fusion 550 head with Barefaced Big Twin 2x12, and treble pickup through Marshall Lead 2x12 combo guitar amp. Sound is phenomenal! My question is this. I was told I cannot put the amps next to each other on the same plane. One needs to be at a slight angle to the other. Can anyone give me some idea why this is, and how I should position these properly?

If you are using the outputs from separate pickups doesn't matter as much, as distinct signals going to them. If it is same signal split, you get some interference that makes some frequencies directional , and crossfiring them a bit can help avoid that. Can get the same with distinct signals, but less likely. I tend to crossfire mine if I can.
