Rickenbacker Made In USA sticker

Never understood why anyone would leave that silly sticker on their bass. You never see Fenders or anything else with stickers left on them so why do so many Ric owners leave those? I hate that they put those things on there, especially the one for the push/pull as it always leaves a bunch of adhesive there to clean off.
Uhhmm....
Mint condition?
High resale value????

Probably a good thing to leave it alone considering the number of people that find out not long after purchase that a Ric wasn't the bass of their dreams after all. I remember seeing Les Claypool playing one with Govt Mule in the Deep End concert and the hang tag was still on it. Probably a rental from a local music shop or sound company.

Even though the Rickenbacker may not be "THE bass" of my dreams, it very well might be the "slightly-shorter-scale mostly-all-maple-neck-thru passive-dual-single-coil vintage-styled always-growling" bass of my dreams.

I see those stickers on pickguards a lot. Meh, thats what the case is for.

I'd rock a Ric that's "finished" (actually covered) in that blue film that comes standard on the control panels of most washers and dryers. That'd actually alleviate my worries of my finish ever becoming sticky.

Speaking of that- and a sidebar-- does anyone know what year that sort of thing stopped happening? I have a 2014 Ruby 4003 and anxieties about the finish becoming tacky all of a sudden.
