My current stage rig is DNA 800 or Genz Benz 9.2 Shuttle was head (depending on basses used) driving two Eden D2-10 Xlt vertically stacked. We play a lot of old Genesis songs including those requiring bass pedals ( nt signal altering devices but like organ) ala Mike Rutherford as in Foxtrot era albums. Although he used Moog Taurus, I use Roland PK5 bass pedals driven by Nlog program connected midi. The pedals take the bass notes equivalent to a five string bass - actually stops at low c. Basses sedate Ric 4003, Fender P, Ray CAFL 4. Keeley Compressor pre input.

Also have a DNA 1-12N cab for small gigs that I love.

I usually run the bass pedals through a separate amp driving an Eden D1-15xlt, but carrying three cabs and two heads is taxing. I'm in good shape but 56.
No bass guitar pa support as we play smaller to medium size clubs - we get PA support in theaters and the bass pedals rattle the walls as intended. We do play loud.

Last couple of gigs, I tried running the pedals through the 2, 2-10xlt stacks and I noticed one of the drivers creased, second partially. So I guess my attempts to only run my setup through the 2-2-10's is over excursion. I just learned about the Eden 1060 drivers tendency to crease.
I also own and run the PA which is two RCF 745A 1-15"/2"horn.

All this is getting to bulky and heavy, so my question for this esteemed group is:

1) Should I change over to the new Mesa Subway 1-15" ( one or two) handle both the basses and Roland PK5 and serve with the above heads a one rig for both? (sell the Eden cabs and buy Mesa 1-15's)

2) Just add another DNA 1-12N and run as in 1)? ($700)

3) Just add an 18" powered PA sub like the EV EKx 1-18sp at 72 lbs/on wheels and run the pedals and bass guitar (as well as kick drum) direct and use a cab for stage volume only. ( $800).

Grateful for wisdom.

Bands name is "Prognosis" playing Pink Floyd, Genesis and Peter Gabriel. Gigging twice a month in Westchester County, Northrrn Jersey ( Mexicali) and LI. Haven't hit CT yet. Video projections and the works.

I don't play bass guitar and pedals at same time usually except for two songs.

This is a tough one...

I run a pk5 with a minitaur and/ or a mopho. I currently use a 1-10 EA and a jbl 15 in a joes cab. Everything is full range. I had been running everything, bass (or stick) and synths through a mixer and then into a head. And it is ok. For me the 10, (or 2*12 cab i have) just does not have enough whomp to give any semblance of what is happening though. With the big long lows it just misses. the 15 makes everything just happen. in a small enough package to be manageable.

To me, the Taurus type big lows definitely need a 15 (or bigger). There is just no replacement for displacement.

Great advice. Do you think a Mesa Subway 15 or 2 could handle it?

I have no idea..

I currently switched over to a Warwick lwa 1000. The two independent channels allow me to have 2 separate eqs. And I can set up for either fretted and fretless, bass and treble stick or basses and pedals depending on how I input or send.

If you are doing the Rutherford thing, with pedals, basses, synths and then throwing guitars into the mix, you might want to look at it as more of a PA situation rather than a bass amp. And do mixer with bass pre/ guitar pre separate sends to the pa and more full range speakers. as you are trying to cover a ton of range and signals. Take as much as possible off your plate and out it on the sound man.

Or if you were really lucky.. get the whole band to go iem.

Great advice? I do bring a separate combo for the 12 string and a sans amp paradriver for that too.

I own and run the sound system - Presonus Live digital - iPad driven. Lead singer and I are on item's small floor monitors for all else.

Seems like adding a PA lightweight subwoofer like the EV EKX 1-18 powered and going direct with the pedals and bass and a 1-12 on stage for bass may be best?
