Double Bass RIP Rinat

I saw him at a masterclass in University a couple of years ago an amazing experience I won't forget. A heavy player with a lot of knowledge. R.I.P to a true master.

At least there's YouTube. One can watch and listen to his playing, especially ones he recorded for instruction. You can watch them again and wonder how he got that sound, but glad he did.
And passed it on . The Bottesini Grand Duo with his daughter makes me glad that he shared "the music" , as my parents put it, with his family.

I got a message at the help desk from Zbigniew Borowicz , who studied with the same teacher as Rinat. Here is the message and tribute:

R.I.P. Rinat.
I studied with the same great professor as Rinat – E.A. Kolosov at the P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow. Here is my homage to my collegue Rinat :

Could you share some information, about his method, viewpoint, tips, anything...

I graduated classical double bass, and played in Hungarys leader Symphony Orchestra in Hungary...After an anxiety disorder, I stop playing classical music in 1998...:crying: And turn to play Jazz and Worldmusic.
During the quarantine period in 2020, I found videos of Rinat Ibragimov on you, after that I started to practice classical music every day, I ask lessons from the Academy Professor.
I don’t expect big carrier in age of 45, after 20+ years break time, but I very happy with the practice, enjoying so much!
Thank You maestro Ibragimov!
I was shocked when I got know his passing!
