So far, I've been very impressed with this machine. It has an integrated hygrometer that cycles the unit on when the RH drops below the value you set. Knowing that these types of humidifiers are prone to premature shut-off based on the proximity of the sensor to the moisture source, I cross-reference it with a second hygrometer on the other side of the room. I've found keeping the machine set at 45% will produce ~40% in the corner where the basses are kept.
It's a mist type, with an adjustable split/dual directional spout that allows you to direct moisture where you desire. It operates silently, practically zero maintenance, and no wicking filters to replace. The water is filtered with an internal ceramic demineralization canister, which cuts down on mineral dust (or "white dust").
