Can anyone help identify the correct tool to adjust the truss rod on a Roscoe SKB 5. I've gone through all the common tools for set-up on other basses but have nothing that fits the Roscoe. Any help, tips, or clues would be greatly appreciated.
How did you cut the Allen key? If you used a hacksaw, throw the key away and buy a good one, as the steel is too soft. You don't want the key to start stripping as it'll damage the nut too. With hard steel, you can score it with a Dremel cut off disc, and snap it in a vise at the score line.Sidenote and IIRC: the TR access is rather shallow. I had to lop-off additional mm's from the hex key's short arm for unrestricted introduction.

Edit: Sorry, this advice is directed to the original poster.
Unfortunately, abrasive cutoff wheels will heat the steel and remove the temper which makes it softer, exactly where you want it to be hard. That's why I suggested scoring it and snapping it on the score line.
