I am refinishing a neck with Rubio Monocoat. I sanded off the laquer down to the wood, sanded until 150 on the back of the neck and the back of the headstock, and 220 on the front of the headstock.
I applied one coat of Rubio and the color definitely changed, but it kinda just looks like the wood is wet. There’s no shine at all.
I plan on scuffing it with 320 grit sandpaper and applying a second coat, but before I do, I was wondering if thus far this is normal behavior from Rubio.
Thanks!
