Russian Federation Onboard Preamps?

You see them on eBay if you search for "HAZ clone".

Does anyone here have experience with them? I'm Looking for a preamp to go in this.

94 Guild Pilot Pro, EMG's currently wired vvt, one pot does nothing. I'd like to keep it it vv no pan and add bass/ treble. Bass sounds good without a pre, but I want to experiment with something new. Ideally something that fits with the four holes and EMG's.

Total newb at this so feel free to make suggestions.

Get a BQC. More expensive than the Russian pre, but ultimately I think you'll be happier, plus you get a parametric mid control plus bass/treble. OK, so it has a blend knob for the pickups instead of separate VV, but hey

I Decided to call EMG and they recommended the BQC too! So I ordered one. This is my first attempt at installing a pre-ampIt ain't pretty but it works. The instructions and clip on wire ends made wiring it super easy. I messed up and ordered the one with the wrong jack. Need to find my soldering iron or order a different jack. Not sure about the extra green wire.

I Had to plug in to test it though.

the mid control is way huge.

Green wire is ground from bridge. Not needed for EMG Active pups.
