I’ve had negative experiences with both musicians friend’s SDOTD and this exact model and color of ray34, but it is once again, a stupid deal lol. Mine had the dreaded tuners that strip themselves out and truss rod that got very stuck. I could still get a great setup, but I dumped it in a trade for fear of long term viability and it quickly found its way to a different local music shop than I got it from.
All that to say: I’m still considering this dang thing because I’ve had the Ray itch for a while! I guess I feel like I’m willing to roll the dice and return it if I have to. It’s insane to me that Musicians Friend is just clearing out these Sterlings with potentially huge issues.
