Hi Lynn
I'm aware that you have the KC Strings Seaton Saddle on your bass to accommodate the Laborie/Rabbath endpin without drilling the bass.
I've used a Laborie endpin for several years, in a Chinese bass which I got drilled. I recently bought a new bass, which is a big step up in quality/price so I'd rather not drill the new instrument. I'm experimenting with the Robpin which seems very good but I also wanted to explore the Saddle idea.
I wondered if you could share your thoughts on the Saddle? Is the saddle actually screwed into the bass? I wondered if you've ever had any issue with buzzing and if it had any impact on the sound of the bass? Are there any downsides to that type of setup?
Thanks
Dan
