I am talking about the sort of sound effect thing that Will Lee would do on a bass to render an "uh oh" sound to make fun of someone on Letterman?
Also - last night I watched a PBS broadcast of a Zydeco band (Tom Rigney and Flambeau) and the bassist was able to render a clear rendition of "thank you," on his bass after singing a tune.
These little techniques are interesting to me and I am sure there are other fun techniques to get vocal references out of a bass.
If you have an explanation of how to do this, or a video demonstration, I'd love to see it and collect a few here.
