Session Sessionette 100 Bass

I've never used the 1x12" bass combo, but have owned both the 4x10" and 1x15" versions, presuming that we're talking about the stuff from the '80s.

Back then, Session was considered to be a "poor man's Trace Elliot" and that evaluation wasn't all that far off. All in all, they were OK amps.

A couple of things to bear in mind:

These were actually rated at 75W "as-is" and 100W with an external cabinet added.

Given the age of these units, they are likely in need of a rehab.

From where I stand today, for an "improv jazz thingie" I'd be more inclined to look for an old Polytone or an early GK200MB, but it's your call.

Good luck.

First impression: I like it. It was loud enough, though there's probably not a lot of headroom left. I tried the compressor, but can't really say much about it. It amplified the hum, as they do. There is a notch filter for 300Hrz, which is not for me.

I like the graphic eq, I could make it work much better by turning 40Hrz down completely. I made a Clint Eastwood's mouth eq.
