Hey guys, I'm about to drop this preamp in a Warwick Jazzman and was wanting to get some opinions on something.

It has a push/pull slap contour that can be wired, or I could use the push/pull to do an active/passive deal.

I will probably never slap with this bass as the string spacing is too close, but it seems like a cool feature to have. On the other hand, the Warwick is stock with the push/pull bypassing the preamp.

Would you go ahead and wire the slap contour (is it a cool enough sound to use without slapping?), or use the push/pull for active/passive?

Just looking for opinions...pros/cons?

Thanks guys!

i got 2 stc -3p in my ibanez sr305 and bc rich warlock. i also want to change it to active/passive on push/pull volume, and replace a mid pot to push/pull for slap contour. where can we get push/pull pot with center detent?

Personally, I'd use the active/passive more. But the slap switch is cool, too. You can always add another switch to turn it on.
