i didn't know where else to post this, but i'm about to ship a speaker cabinet across Canada and would like a few tips on how to properly pack this thing.
It's an Ampeg B25B 2x15. It's about 110lbs and is 39x29x11 inches. I'm going to go dumpster diving to look for a big enough box, or something I could cut and modify into a proper box.
Is it a good idea to wrap the cabinet with foam padding or bubble wrap before boxing?
I've read it's a good idea to stuff the inside of the box with bubble wrap in order to prevent speaker damage. And to disconnect all wires to the input jacks and speakers and such to prevent them from ripping out. Also to take off any wheels or casters and put them inside the cabinet, securely and tightly.
Is there anything I'm missing? I want to ship this thing properly to ensure it doesn't get damaged. Keeping the buyer and me happy.
Thanks,
Adam
