I was at practice last night, with one of my bands, and we hadn't played in quite a while. After the first couple songs didn't go so well, somebody wanted to drop what we were working on and play something easy, in this case Cocaine Blues by Johnny Cash. Well I'm sick of that song, and I was more sick of copping out on songs instead of keeping on them til we nail it, so I said I was sick of Johnny Cash (I am right now) and I didn't want to play any more Johnny Cash ever again (not entirely true but mostly). Our keyboard player said, not knowing this was a real person, "Well how about Johnny Nash?" He didn't know this was the name of the guy who did "I Can See Clearly Now", he was just making something up to be silly and lighten the mood. So, I informed them that Johnny Nash is a real person and made them play "I Can See Clearly" until we had it.
