Shuttle 6.0 woes

The other day I plugged in my GenzBenz shuttle 6.0 and when it turned on I hear a giant BANG! and then the speaker just flopped around there was white noise in the background with an occasional crackle. I decided to try a new tube but alas it did the same thing.

Any ideas? I took the lid off and there are two circuit boards in there. I imagine getting even one board would be almost as much as I paid for the amp ($300) so is it worth fixing? Any ideas as to exactly what might be the issue?

Why go there if the person who designed the amp is offering to repair it?

I will add that Agedhorse repaired one of my Shuttle amps for a very fair price and the turnaround time was short. He is in California and I am in Texas and I think the amp was back in my hands about a week after I shipped it. The repaired Shuttle worked perfectly.

I'm in St Paul, anyone ever used The Good Guys? I'm reading mixed reviews on the internet. Not that I believe it all.
I highly recommend you contact Mr. @agedhorse through a private message here on TB and ship it out to him.
He designed that amp and is the factory service for Genz-Benz with the knowledge and parts in stock to do everything right with a quick turn around.

You can try another place, or give it to the person that created and still services them at a great low price.

Mr. Equine the Elder fixed my NeoPak 3.5 (he also designed that amp) a while back for a very reasonable rate. I had it back in about a week. Fortunately, I had my Shuttle 6.0 to cover my gigs that week. In my opinion, there is NO reason not to use Agedhorse for repair.
