Congrats, sir......Mine comes in Thursday 6/2, same color as yours but 5-String...thanks for the headsup and posting the control plate because the switches were a huge question for me of how the taps worked....also, now I know which single-coils are used so I need to measure the distance when mine gets here

Once again: Grats and Ill be posting back in this thread when mine gets here

I'm seriously considering buying the TBK version of this bass, but buying a bass online scares me as well. If anyone has any experienced reviews of this bass or know anything about the Sire's return policy it would be greatly appreciated.

I would not worry: have 2 x V7 and 1 x M3 and also have an M7 on the way, never had an issue. These basses are well made. You can check on the Sire website but return should not be an issue if you do not like. But I think you will keep... All of my Sires are great basses, each one of them!

Why didn't they do the 5 string in 34" scale...
Still may get one but was trying to stick with 34" scale...

I'm in a dilemma...
...Grabs his credit card....puts it back up....grabs his card....puts it back up....
You are not alone, my friend ...Same story here )))
As a student its a hard choice. I probably will have to let go one of my other basses....
I want 5 str Sire M7, I want headless...ohhh man.
I just got a Washburn Headless 1000, but it's neck it too big for me.

I believe they have 30 day return policy but know this. I was scared to death about buying my sire (M3) sight unseen and I was blown away when it came in. Took it right to my guitar tech and he could find no needed adjustments flaws or problem with how it was built. He tore it apart looking for any flaw and he was amazed. I'm about to order a M7 and have no fears at all this time..

How long was your M7 delivery delayed? I have a lefty M7 swamp ash on order and it is now going on close to 90 days, getting a little concerned! Thx

For the couple of guys who want a 34" mensure 5-string-- have you taken a look at Yamaha's TRBX 505? It's the bass I was strongly considering for a "first 5-string" before the M7 came out. There are some similarities in the features, you'd just be making do without the coil-splitting, Mid-sweep control, and figured top...

...just a thought!

I was seriously considering one until I was told they were not making one with a maple board. I was told that was a Custom Option not available and that wasn't going to happen. So I moved on with my lips poked out and then Bam. MTD Kingston came out with their Super 5. Basically the same config as what I was looking for and has an option of rosewood or maple board so I'm getting the bass I want with the maple board and it's not a Custom Option. If Sire had one with the maple board they would have gotten my money first.
