Sire P7 vs Lakland Skyline 44-64 Custom P/J

I'm looking for a P/J 4 strings with a Jazzneck.
I'm on a tight budget and would like some input
Since i'm in Canada and due to CITIES Regulation i'm stuck with maple neck...unless other brand available in Canada...
I know there is a big difference in pricing between these two..
Any Sire P7 owner or Lakland Skyline 44-64 Custom that can provide me with experiences on these models ?

I have a Sire P7 fretless 5 and love it. Can't compare it against the Lakland (never played one). The Sire's a great deal for the money though, and I hear they may be more available in Canada soon...

Yes, I read in the Sire club that one of the Canadian retailers recently signed up for a retail deal, I'll see if I can find the post again.

Rats it was Andertons I was thinking of: Sire Bass Club! but they're in the UK. Could swear I read of a Canadian retailer somewhere, can't find it now.
