Sire V7 5 Block Inlay Question

Hey guys .. I wonder if this has happened to any of you. I love my 2 year old V7 5 but the block moved on one side of the fingerboard. The neck has never been hit or anything . .. A local guitar builder looked at it and told me it was a factory defect. ... I just emailed Sire USA to see what they say

I’ve had mine about 2.5 years now and no issues with my blocks......

It's a shame because i really like this bass .. i found a 4 string 1st generation one on craigslist with a smoking deal and i went ahead and grabbed it..

Yeah, I’d try contacting Sire. They might cover the cost of repairs to get the block properly seated.
