Smaller sized P pups?

I dug around some on Google and couldn’t find a company who makes undersized P pups. I don’t mean tiny like mustang pickups - I’m looking for regular precision pickups that are like 5-10% smaller than standard.

Ever heard of something like this before? I want to see if there’s something I can put into my LP DC Jr without having to do any routing. I know EMG 35s fit and obviously there are the thunderbird pups… I’m looking for precision style ones. Thanks!

On my short scale PJ, I bought a set of regular P-covers with no holes and mounted a Nordy Mustang pickup under them because I like narrower string spacing and I wanted the tone that is between a Mustang pickup and a P-pickup. You could probably do the same thing with an EMG 35 cover. The reason I chose the Nordy pickup is because it has double poles per string like a P-pickup, and has @ 10.5 kohms' worth of wire so it approaches the tonal character of a typical P-pickup.

I believe Sentel makes or could make something like it. I may have seen a P squeezed in an MM pickup.

But at some point, it’s not gonna have the typical P sound anymore (which has wide coils). You will need tall, narrow coils. At that point, you might just get something that has that split coil architecture stock, like Nordstrand Big Split.

oh, and if you send Becky and Shannon at Wilde your own empty pickup shell, I believe they will put their P46 in it. P46 has narrow coils
