Jamareo Artis is a beast. I don't understand why they haven't used this bassline more prominently in the record (at least I hear more of a synth bass on the actual record). Hope this song will be the next song for our cover band

Cool, I haven't heard that yet. Reminds me of the sugar hill records. I think Bruno Mars is good for music- not everything is groundbreaking, but you can see that he truly loves what he does.

I almost went and got a synth just so I could mimic the synth on the track. But after hearing that on bass I just need to go cry, then practice....

I always admired this kind of groove and a players ability to add little fills and notes here and there that add to the feel and don't sound intrusive or clunky, but give it that much more flavor.

Plus the tone is amazing. I'm guessing there is something more than just the Jazz bass to the sound? Or is just a good jazz bass all you need for that?

An outside producer produced that track hence no live bass but Jamereo did a damn good job of recreating the bassline and adding his touch to it.
