While the post was made tongue-in-cheek, I think I'll actually buy her one. It's not too expensive. And I haven't bought her anything for a little while. It's a fun little pre-wedding gift.

Yeah. I guess that's true. It takes a special kind of bass player to make bass look cool. Not just any old average Joe bassist can pull it off.

I might be young but I'm old-school and optimistic and I take the "till death do us part" very literally.
(But I'll just have to start buying her better clothing to make that happen.

Speaking of fashion I once bought my wife a matching belt and bag, she got EXTREMELY upset but on the bright side the vacuum cleaner hasn't worked this well in years.

I was very cunning in snagging my wife. I played guitar first so she thought I was cool, Then I switched to bass after we were married and it was already too late for her to escape.
Now she would just wear the shirt because she knows she just has to go with it.

My wife and I have been married 29 years this year. She loves the fact that I play music. She would wear that shirt around the house but not in public.
My wife has a shirt that says I Married My Favorite Bass Player. She wears it once a month or so. (We each have hundreds of t shirts, it's not like she HAS to wear that one.)
P.S. 36 years for us. When we married the bass and amp were sitting in a closet. When I started playing again, there was no complaint. She's a keeper.
