At the conclusion of my set Saturday night, in a dimly lit bar in Buffalo.......
The bartender who plays UB summons me over to inquire about my bass, an Upton Standard ply. Apparently with the lighting the way it was, and viewing from across the bar, he thought I was playing one of those shiny black basses. He asked me, "Hey is that one of those $800 basses you buy on the internet?"
Ummm, no! Maybe it sounded good and he was impressed thinking it was BSO? Anyway we had a nice chat, a free shot, talked about his Kays, and I introduced him to Upton basses.
