Hi all,
The SA After Shock manual describes its "Universal Bypass" functionality on page 12 of the user manual -
"The true bypass path uses signal relays, which are electromechanical switches. This provides an ultra-low resistance path from the input jacks to the output jacks, which is effectively the same as a wire"
By default the unit is in TrueBypass mode and I confirmed this by connecting the pedal to my computer via a USB cable. However, I notice that when using my bass if I unplug the After Shock pedal I lose my bass signal. With all of my other TrueBypass pedals if I pull the power I am ok.
I can only guess that the 'electromechanical signal relays' on this brand still require power. I just wanted to see if anyone else has run into this and can confirm the same behavior and make sure I'm not overlooking anything.
Thanks.
