Source Audio Aftershock frustration (Tap Tempo pedal)

So I'm loving the sounds I can get out of this thing, but I feel like I'm missing something that I want to make happen.
I want to create a custom sound that has both "channels" active when the pedal is turned on (stereo or cascading is immaterial, I believe). I am using the tap tempo pedal and I'm not sure if that's getting in the way or what.

I like having the tap tempo pedal so I can select between different channels on the Green side, and do cascading on some other custom ones, but I'd also like to do what I'm saying above: turn on my custom preset and have both channels active.

I just picked this up last week, and I'm not going to drop it if I can't do the above, I'm just looking for clarity from anyone more experienced with this pedal.

Not sure I understand, what exactly are you wanting to happen? Turn the pedal on from the main switch and both sides be active?

I think you just have to set the A—>B or A+B mode to whichever you want when in Red Mode and turn off the external control so the tap temp doesn’t do anything.

If I understand you correctly you’re going to want to just the Tap Switch when in Green mode which is done by setting the external control setting once the pedal is in green.

I’ve only used the Nero app and USB on my Windows 10 tablet so I can’t speak to the phone app and cable.

Right. So turn on the Red/custom side and have more than one channel active from the get go.
It just seems possible based on page 12-13 where it discuses running pedals in series/cascaded. One would not be able to run those pedals in series/cascaded without the tap-tempo pedal otherwise.

But I'll also investigate @MuthaFunk's suggestion

As far as I can tell, it's either external switch on or off for all of it. I know you can disable external controls, but I don't believe those are the same thing. From the site:
Enable External Switch: It is possible to use a Source Audio Tap Tempo Switch to perform a number of different functions. See the EXTERNAL SWITCH TYPE menu in the I/O Routing and Control Options section for a list of options. You must check this box to use the Tap Tempo Switch with your One Series pedal.
- Navigating the Neuro Desktop Editor with One Series Drive Pedals

But if I'm getting things wrong, I definitely want to know!

If you have a preset saved as cascaded in red mode, it should always turn on with both channels on. Green mode, if remember correctly, will turn on with both enabled when first turned on/toggle switch is flipped to that preset, but after that the external switch should have to turn it on and off as you use it until the next time you flip the toggle switch.

I’ll definitely play around with it with that in mind. Thank you! It’s highly likely I was just getting frustrated and missing the sound differences.
