Spector Euro. Help to identify. No serial number

Hi to all
I'm looking for your help in this case. I recently obtained a Spector, according to the seller its a Spector Euro 5LX but since it has a custom paint, there is no serial number. While looking for the controls chart I noticed that it has only 1 concentric knob. On line I can online find either 2 concentric or no concenric at all. According to the seller the electronics are standard, so you have any idea which model is this?

Maybe the refin painted the headstock?

That is a gorgeous shiny color... I want to lick it as it reminds me of candy drool Congrats !

It appears to be a Euro5 LX. Probably not more than about 5 years old or so as the black neck plank running through the body (based on a custom job done by a TB'r that became popular and Spector then reproduced)
is a fairly new thing.

The puzzling thing is you don't have the "Hippie Sandwich" (Maple top, Walnut Slice, plain Alder back} body wings.
Those appear to be solid Maple. Your inlays appear custom too. Spector has recently started offering the Euro4/Euro5
(2001-early 2004) again, that had solid wings, so maybe.....

The concentric knob is only related to what pre someone put in it.
Either way I think this is a real recent bass.

Solid maple wing Euros were before 2004, which means your bass is not a EuroLX it was just the Euro. And the serial numbers after 99 were merely ink stamps on the back of the headstocks. So sorry, yours is long gone with the refinish job.
If its a 98/99 then the serial would be stamped in the control cavity.

What a beautiful bass though!

While this is all plausible, it would have to be a Czech made between '98 and early 2004 because of the inlays
(unless custom aftermarket upgrade). Plus, as I said, the black neck through, with only the wings being colored,
is a fairly new finish style for Spector, following the growing popularity of a player's refinish.

One thing about the inlays: Without seeing a pic of the 12th fret, these could be stickers actually covering dots.

Edit: After a second look, the fact that the top "inlay" is proportionately much too large than it should be in progression from the previous three (and unusual color), I believe these are probably stickers.

Pretty. I agree with all of the stuff above. If the scale is 34" and there are dot inlays, this may predate the Euro5s (late 90's if I recall). Phat is spot-on. That would be a really unusual color for actual inlays. If that's the case, this might be an NS5CR or NS5CRFM from that late 90s vintage.

Regardless, you've got a pretty awesome bass, there. Enjoy it! :thumbsup:
