The preamp I will be obtaining shortly has a balanced output, a 1/4" TRS jack with a level pot. My problem is, I need that signal to go to two places - to our IEM mixer where it sits on a splitter and gets forwarded to FOH if necessary - and to my poweramp.
I would like to minimize the things sitting on top of my amp, so I'd be very happy to hear that the signal most likely will be strong enough to be run through a Y cable and that I have, in that case, nothing to fear if some moron left the phantom power on by accident.
If that is not the case, other than running it through a DI, what options do I have?
