I picked one up today from my local shop. I love the neck and the tone while playing thru a Rumble 100 in the store. The finish is flat and pretty cool. The only thing that is aesthetically off to me is the lack of plate around the knobs. It functions just fine, just not use to looking at a J bass like that.

Play one passive ceramic jazz pup model at GC, overall are ok. But the build quality are step behind than VM 70J and CV60J bass especially the neck. The neck colour and finished just like Cort low end PJ bass neck or Squier Affinity neck.

The himass bridge aren't match CV brass saddle bridge quality. The tuner mechine are cheaper stuff which you can find at Aliexpress.

I believe this Indonesia model will replace the china made CV bass .

Just played for about 1 hour today. Pickups are punchy w/good oomph + w/good bass louder & brighter than many passive pickups. Sounds like the neck pickup has some bass boost. Also, the bass tho using single coils is otherwise noiseless. They did a nice job w/this one. You won't be embarrassed w/squier on the headstock. Simple controls, no equalization on board & no batteries. W/color-matching headstock, looks just like my 1st Fender Jazz Bass which I purchased new in '62. (My original bass absolutely did have hum.)
My druthers-some will love or not the 12" neck radius.

Tried one. Really great feel and sound. I want one!
It's a beast. Heavy I put on a set of Labella flats on it and it sounds amazing. The only other thing besides the weight, is the tuning keys. That's where my journey begins with this bass. They need to be replaced because they don't hold the tune for very long... Any suggestions on a better set of tuners?

I agree, it's the heaviest bass I have ever owned and the tuners suck. It held tune but there was a lot of play in trying to tune it.

I contacted both Sweetwater and Fender and got mine replaced. They are the same, but better. Other than those 2 issues it is a sweet looking and sounding bass.
