I found this at Thomann Germany, looks nice.

I don’t know about the US, but I have played one in Denmark today. One of my students is going to buy it tomorrow.

It looks positively absolutely stunning live, like a WAY more expensive bass. This one is setup perfectly and plays very well. And it sounds great, but this particular one has a weird (probably easy-fix) glitch: it buzzes like a beehive. Apart from that being super weird because humbucking pickup (probably a wiring mistake), it seems as if they forgot to connect the bridge to ground. But the shop dude said he’s going to fix it pre-purchase.

I was tempted as well. Especially because of the really nice neck.

I played one yesterday, and it was really great, save for the above-mentioned buzzing. They had another one in the store, so I tried that one, too. Same buzz. The sales guy put the first one aside for me, and their tech is going to look at it when he's back in the store tomorrow. If he fixes it, it's coming home, because it's the first bass I've played this year that I really wanted to buy. And not just because I'm a sucker for matching headstocks.

And I don't know if it's just the GC "setup," but one of the basses played significantly better than the other. Might be worth trying before buying.

I played four including the one I took home, they all have some buzzing on the A string. The best thing is just wind down the string as close to the headstock as possible. This is somewhat difficult since the tuner is tapered and pushes the string to the middle of the peg.

I passed on it. the tech redid all of the solder joints today, and the buzz was still crazy loud. makes me think it's a shielding issue. very possibly an easy fix, but I don't want a new project. also, I took a player p off the wall and plugged it in - dead quiet. plus, the player neck is pretty much what's on my current p, and playing the two basses side by side, it was clear that the bigger player neck is what I like.

I bought one of these couple of weeks ago from GC. Great bass. The shade of the Indian Laurel fretboard on mine looks almost like Rosewood, which is a bonus. I don't have any of the grounding issues others have talked about, but yes, the A sting did rattle because they didn't put enough peg windings on it at the factory. Common P-Bass problem. I always cut my A string a bit longer than my other strings to alleviate this. The only downside is that I have already chipped the paint at the bottom edge of the truss rod hole. The nut is in there pretty deep and my standard 4mm hex wrench could barely reach it, causing the angle of the wrench to nick the paint. Like most new Squiers and Fenders I've played, the neck had too much relief, but I have it adjusted where I want it now.
