What have you’ve done to make your Squier worthy?
Here’s my Squier DAV Mod info
I purchased the Body off Reverb for 165.00 - just what I needed as a project Bass
1. Changed neck to Fender Jazz Bass Neck
2. Hipshot Hb7 turners - purchased 1 extra and just turned gear opposite direction for bottom gear
3. High Mass Fender Bridge and Neck plate - the weight from the metal takes the Bass to another level
4. Ok electronics - pickups Nordstrand JN5S Hum Canceling pu/s
5. Changed pre - amp Bass Mods mini
34-PBPT Solder-less
Everything will be complete Tuesday next week - it already hits

I own several Basses but never a project Bass - the Wood body will produce the tone I desire -

Only modified my Squier because one of the tuning keys was cracked ... Upgraded tuners and bridge to Mexican Fenders, changed the control knobs to the plastic ones and got flatwounds on it - I don't honestly think it needs anything more doing to it.

On my CV 70's Jazz, I changed the pickups to SD Quarter Pounders, changed the bridge to a Gotho B201, and changed the electronics to an Obsidian Wire pre-wired harness. It's the first time I had ever done any kind of mods. The bass as stock certainly wasn't bad, the electronics were just a bit weak. All the mods were just direct drop in, so even someone like me could do them without messing them up!

You are so right everything about that Bass is right in every way. For me a project Bass -
