I’m looking for a pedal to get that amazing distortion sound Stanley gets in the solo of After the Cosmic Rain. I’ve tried poking around and it appears he doesn’t run anything like that currently. Hopefully someone can recommend something to get close to that tone!

For years Stanley has been splitting his bass signal between his Alembic preamp and either a Fender or Marshall guitar combo.

I used to employ a Systech Overdrive for that tone and now I am using a DOD Boneshaker with the mids boosted. You might also be able to get that tone using the EHX Cock Fight.
