I've scoured the archives for the above info but can't find what I need. I'm wondering how thin the neck is from front to back on the Stingray 5 or Ray5. I had a Ray34 a while ago, and while I loved it, the neck was just to chunky for my hand. The solution was an SB14 which I love. Neck works great.
I've taken to playing 5 strings these days. Currently using a Yamaha BB425x which I love; the neck is the most comfortable I've ever played (even more so than a Fender Jazz). However, wouldn't mind an active counterpart.
Sooooo... I'm wondering how slim the SR5 neck is. I know the spacing is different from my Yamaha: 18mm for the BB vs. the SR's 17mm I believe, but my fretless is 17mm and I don't mind the difference.
Lastly, I prefer a flat fret board so I'm assuming I should stay away from the Classic (CA) models: yes?
