Contact Ernie Ball customer service and tell them what happened. They should take care of you. I broke a couple Cobalt flats early on and they made it right. One of my favorite strings now.

I put the marcus millers on

It woke up the bass!!!!

I have Cobalt flats on my SR5 and D'Addario Hald Rounds on my Classic Stingray 4. Love them both. Flats/Halfs sound great on Rays.

Just keep the same Ernie Ball strings that came with the guitar. And wen they wear out, you'll have the tone of flats, and the flex and feel of rounds. Thus, the best of both worlds.

Haven't tried the cobalts but steadily making the transition to either tapes or flats and all my basses. Out of ten , currently 4 with flats, 3 with tapes and 3 with rounds. Round tones are cool but finger feel and noise not .

How do you like the cobalt flats? Ive been thinking of putting a set on my ash/maple P bass. How do they compare to other flats?

I had them on a peavey fury P bass with aguilars


They rock! Tons of bottom with sweet mids and clear highs


They work very well on a p bass

Just put Dunlop Super Brights on mine. Love how they play. The Classic has such a tight responsive feel that I wanted to keep the strings at lower tension. They don't feel like rubber bands by any means.

Just bought me two sets of Cobalt Flats last night for my 5ers from BSO. Never used the cobalts before, been a chromes guy. Have never used BSO either, or had flats on a 5. So it's all new to me! It's a big scary world.

Ha ha, that's funny. Bass strings online is good, I've ordered from them with no problems.
