Well it happened. This day blows.
Delivered today via FedEx. (No signature required). Left at my front door and someone grabbed it.
Please be on the lookout.
Police report filed but I don't have a lot of faith in the process.
Damn it

Jeeze that really sucks. Hopefully it won’t be hard to get back since it has such distinct features.

As a delivery man myself, not FedEx, it always surprises me when people suggest it’s the driver that takes a package. I guess I can’t speak for all drivers but there’s no way I would throw my 6 figure career away for a package.

And sorry for adding what’s been said, but request signature release always for anything of value.

Start by checking out local pawn and resale shops, it might just turn up. One thing you have going for you, thieves are often not very smart, hence the thievery. A meth head lookin for a quick fix will be looking to offload it quickly.

I say this because you mentioned having no faith in the authorities and I’m sure your right, I doubt they have time to care at all about your stolen property, they are too busy tracking down bigger fish with the tiny budget they still have. Hopefully you find it, because they sure won’t.

Let the local pawn shops know about the situation, provide pictures + serial number, every information that you have.
Monitor online retailers (CL, etc)
Let what happened be known around you (local bands, local FB groups etc) : people like to help in those situations.

Scott (SBL) made a video about this exact topic :

Hoping for the best now :)

Man first of all fedex sucks. I wouldn’t put it past the driver. However, who the hell shipped this without signature?..
Unfortunately the pandemic & the USA became a signature-less delivery, doorbell ring, photo & leave. It doesn't matter what it is. The other day a neighbor had a larger 4K TV delivered. I watched as the delivery was a single individual lift for something that requires a team lift really. So he pulled it out of the back of the truck between dragging & dropping it from the street to the front door a few times, the box was beat up for that and there's no way of telling what happened along the way at every stop in between. And naturally, the door bell ring wasn't enough to get their attention to be anything more than a porch pirate temptation.

And not to judge Portland, OR, USA, but knowing a few folks in Seattle, WA, USA with the recent decriminalization process, the drug addicts & anything else people are capable of these days. It's a wonder most deliveries don't end up as stolen.

Just me, but if I know I'm not going to be home, I'd definitely arrange to pick up at a FedEx hub facility for a larger city. I had no problem doing that in Miami, FL, USA. Especially since the FedEx pickup process is infinitely better than UPS in North Miami, FL, USA.
