Strandberg BODEN Prog 5 bridge/tuner Allen screw

hey guys, question for anyone who has one of these and/or has worked with the bridge/tuners on one...I needed just a c-hair of adjustment forward for intonation on a string (which I couldn't achieve) and so out of curiosity I took apart one of these clever mechanisms and there is a little Allen screw that sits on the back/bottom of the little base plate and it really seems to have no purpose...is this just like a spare one of the saddle locking Allen screws? see pics, I have backed the screw out most of the way to show it

Works for me but what do I know?. On the second pic (base plate inverted), what is the hole closest to the grub screw? The other 3 appear to be for body-top mounting and the intonation lock-down.
