Here is a picture so we are on the same page (this is just an example not a bike I am considering):
Now, I already own a Hybrid, I already own a Mountain Bike, but with what I want to do a street bike would be beneficial over the 2. Originally I refused to get a street bike because of the places I go because I can't guarantee they will always be paved which is where the Hybrid and MB comes into play. However, with the specific place I have in mind and other places I am considering being all pavement and the use of the street bike is more about fitness than enjoyment; hybrid and MB are more for enjoyment.
Previously I created a thread for I really wanted to get my hands on a rigid bike and was leaning towards Surly but then I came to terms I really don't need a second MB. Hell I sold my Specialized MB after I bought my Trek MB for the simple fact I had no reason to keep it. So if/when the day comes for me to get a new MB, then I will look into a rigid.
But with a street bike I can get into rigid and more. However, a few things:
I will NOT wear spandex (aka lycra)
Will not shave my legs
Not planning to get bike shoes (but can't say I won't change my mind about that)
Want to keep the price within reason
I am open to any brand
I am currently saving YT videos, and reading as many links as I can.
As I am doing all of this research, if there is anyone on here into street riding, please chime in.
