Stripped Screw Heads On Sterling SUB Ray 4. How to Remove it?

Hi, Im new here. and i need some words on how to remove the stripped screw head on the pickup. I tried to lower the pickups but it was so hard so i forced it then the screws got worn out. now the pickup is lowered but the front coil is lower than the rear.

If you do any grinding or sawing on the screw, (assuming it is made out of steel), cover the pickup with masking tape before doing so to prevent small pieces of metal from being drawn into the openings of the pickup cover by the magnets..

If you can get a grip on the head using a quality pair of ribbed jaw pliers, or small locking pliers, you may be able to turn it. If you try this method, masking tape may help prevent scratches on the pickup cover.
 
Yeah, the usual technique around here is a pair of the small vise-grips with the long extended jaws. Clamp it on the OD of the head, turn it through a small angle, reclamp, turn, etc., etc., until it's loose enough that you can turn it with normal pliers.
