Believe it or not, we actually perform better when people are watching than alone because having an audience boosts our motor skills, researchers have revealed.

Which begs the question, How do they know we do better or worse if no one is there to listen?
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it make a sound?
The article does explain how they came up with the results but I wonder if it holds true for musicians.
