Did they change the headstocks again? Looks like a smaller Sadowsky or the old Lotus headstock. I say go for it!
Just got the maple neck version with p/j pickups about 2 weeks ago. Very nice bass for the money. Fit and finish is very good. Electronics are ok for what they are. Only things I have done to it so far was adding Hipshot Clover tuning machines, changed the knobs to the plastic Fender Jazz style, and a fresh set of strings.

wow, that's purty! if it were a short scale, i'd buy one and put a white pearly pickguard on it and live happily ever after.

They've had shorties in the past, but I haven't seen them lately. That powder blue is nice. I wouldn't mind grabbing a vintage white, either.
Yup, new headstock. Thank goodness! That paddle was about as bad as the old fish hook jobbie.

They're just advertising that the body wood is alder from the USA - as opposed to Chinese alder, I suppose.What is with the American flag? Is that to say "designed in the USA"?? We all know Fender is based in California, there is no need to remind us.

Yes its on the plastic covering over the pickguard. Body is made from american alder.
I was thinking about that same bass yesterday. It looks very classy. Looks a lot more expensive than it is.

My first bass was the old old version of that in VGN. I reluctantly sold it when was accumulating basses and seeing what I like and told the guy, "if you ever want to sell it, call me.". He did not.
If they come out with the Vintage Green in that headstock I will be on it like white on rice.
