After a buddy played my black and rosewood T-40 Five he had to have one so we found a 1979 at a very reasonable price. I did the five string portion of mounting the bridge saddles and extra tuner. He decided he wanted the body contoured and a tort pickguard so out came his disc sander and various things for removing and smoothing wood. The body has the original outline and the grain was filled with black filler. He also made the tort pickguard. This is the almost finished result and it has a semi gloss clear sealer but will get gloss clear poly in a few weeks. The contouring only reduced the weight a few ounces. It weighs 9.4 lbs. Looks good to me!
