Double Bass Table of contents for all volumes of Incredibly Useful Exercises

I purchased the Incredibly Useful Exercises by Dennis Whitaker volume that contains all the exercises, Volume 17. This book is a nice compilation of some standard exercises and some new to me exercises and variations. It is nice to have all these exercises in one place.

I think most people here know that Volumes 1-16 of the series compile exercises to address specific areas of bass playing. I was hoping that Vol. 17 would include a list of what is included in the other volumes. Alas, this is not the case and is really the only weakness of Vol. 17, in my opinion. It would be nice to see what exercises Prof. Whitaker recommends as well as know what is in each volume to determine the appropriate volume for students. So, I compiled the table of contents for each volume in pdf format. The page numbers correspond to Vol. 17. I did this for personal use and didn’t really proofread thoroughly (there may be mistakes/typos). I though others may be interested…

I've been thinking of biting the bullet on this, but it seems like a few people are saying the real benefit is in the individual volumes. Are you able to shed any idea on what is the difference been an individual volume and volume 18?

I have not seen the individual volumes but did watch some of Jason Heath's videos on YouTube to check the table of contents that are not on Amazon. The exercises are exactly the same. I think it is worth buying the volume with all exercises as it is reasonably priced. You can then recreate all the individual volumes, if you would like, or create your own combinations.

Does anyone know if the Incredibly Useful Exercises books are available in a digital form other than Kindle? I own them on paper, but I was thinking that some of the exercises I do a lot would be cool to have in poster form.
Have you tried contacting him directly? Might be worth a shot, either through his youtube channel or his university email. I bet he'd be tickled that someone wants posters of his exercises.

@meandering - cool resource, and thank you for sharing.

Yeah, that was going to be my next step. He seems like a super nice guy and if I got it through him, I'd be sure it was legit and I was supporting his work.

i purchased vol. 17 and was wondering what the sequences were for the other volumes. So, thank you for posing this table of contents collection for all of the other volumes = very valuable. These are great materials that Dennis has collected.

He has said that part of his distribution deal with Amazon that it only be available in paper or kindle format (no easily shared PDFs). Once that agreement runs out, he may be able to renegotiate that.
