Hi, I have a Ibanez SR705 and it's my first time to use the tapered b strings.
when i googling, i saw one article that have to raise the B string’s saddle a little
higher than the other strings. is it right? and is there other install precautions?

The only reason why the B saddle needs to be raised is the part of the B string that sits over the saddle is thinner so the main body of the string ends up sitting lower than the other four.

Ideally speaking, the tapered part should be just long enough to go just past the saddle without extending too far out.

I switched to exposed cores recently, I had to raise 3/4 saddles. Like Michael says, where the string goes over the bridge, there are no windings, most strings do have windings over this area, so you need to compensate for the missing wind thickness, unless you really like fretboard and fret clack...

YMMV, but I was able to simply raise the saddles, no need to reset the intonation, but you'll want to check it anyways.

I think you'll be pleasantly pleased with the result as well.

Be sure to measure your action before taking the old string off so you have a basis for getting the saddle up a bit to compensate for the reduced string thickness at the saddle. Then, check and adjust the intonation just like you should for any other string type change.

This. I experimented with this and found that, for my bass I put a tapered B string on, overall intonation would not play nice until I got the taper really close to the saddle. I don't know why since I see others with the taper well past the saddle, but it definitely played havoc with intonation until I shortened that distance to within a hair of touching the saddle.

Before reducing that distance to a minimum I could only get one fret to be intonated properly. Adjust for the 12th fret and every single other fret would be off. One way towards the nut and the other towards the bridge. The intonation was excellent at every fret with the non-tapered string so I knew something was up when I couldn't get the tapered string correct in the "out of the wrapper" configuration.
