Hi! Plugged my bh250 into my laptop to update the software on the amp as it hasn’t been done since I purchased it second hand and toneprint wouldn’t work, updated it all fine. Took it to practise the day after and there is minimal speaker output from the amp, cranked up full it produces a sound so small it’s barely audable.

Please god tell me this is a easy fix!

Help!?

Hi! Thanks for responding

This is the back panel, no effects loop

Did the amp work OK when you first had it?
Did it work OK right before the TonePrint update?
Did it work OK right after the TonePrint update? (Or was the first time you played it after the update, was at the practice you mentioned?)
Have you tried re-installing the TonePrint update? Wondering if something got corrupted during your update?
Have you tried to contact TC to see what advice they might offer?

Tried reinstalling still not difference, works fine before worked fine until I plugged it into update it then first time I tried it was at practise and no it’s not working correctly I’ve emailed them but still no reply

The Aux in work?
I'm surprised their support hasn't got back to you. You might want to call.
Not tried the aux in, couldn’t find my lead, but the headphone out is also shaged. Any idea for a phone number to contact them? All I could find on the website is a general fill in this sheet with your email and what the problem is and we’ll get back to you kind of thing. I’m UK by the way

hmmmm. When you did the re-install, did you use the same file that you previously downloaded, or did you re-download the file(s)? Just in case something went wrong between them and you while getting it from them.

Yeah! I hate those fill in the form to contact the company things. Half the time you never hear back from those. If I can find a tech support email that just works from my email system, I get much better response.

If the problem started right after you did the first install, then it must be related to that.
I was doing an upgrade on a piece if gear once and something happened during the process that interrupted things.
The equipment was D.O.A. It had no way to do a reset to factory default or anything. Had to send it back to the mother ship to get fixed.

BTW... is there a reset to factory default switch or procedure on your TC? You have the manual, right?

Yeah man, tried through my wireless and through a cable, tried with 2 different speaker cables also 2 different cabs and it’s a passive bass
Does the cable make any noise when not plugged into the bass when you touch the tip? You tried 2 different cabs and 2 different speaker cables, a wireless, and a cable.
How about another bass? That's why I asked about touching the end of the cable. Probably not the problem, but then again, you haven't yet tried EVERYTHING, which, IMO, you must do.
Good luck.

Try playing through it without the Toneprint. Disable it and play it regular see if that works on mine sometimes a different toneprint will make it much louder so it stands to reason the riverse may also be true

That is one of the reasons why I dismissed purchasing a TCE amp. Who needs firmware in their amp of all places? More stuff to go wrong. As Philips says, "Sense and Simplicity" is what I like, plus good tone, in my amps.

If you updated the firmware, I would suggest you reinstall the tone print and see if that fixes the issue.

No problems when I updated mine. Only toneprints that will work with the amp are ones listed under Product (scroll down) and listed for the BH250 head. Might try installing toneprints (both channels) that are listed as working for this amp.
