Double Bass Teachers in Seattle?

Hi,

I'm a double bassist in the Seattle area looking for teachers. I have 4 years of jazz experience through high school, but very little experience with orchestral music. I plan to continue playing in college, and I'm looking for instruction in both, ideally from 2 separate teachers. Anyone got any leads or people they recommend?

There are some very good Seatle double bass teachers / players active on this site. Michael Glynn, Chris Symer ....and I'm sure several others.

A guy named Paul Gabrialson studied with patatucci and is in Seattle, he plays around town a lot. Other names to look for - ossama affifi, chuck deardorf, Bren Plummer, Dan obrian, Ev stern - plus the names mentioned above. All are out there playing and are on FB. There is an inordinate number of really great upright players in town.
