Tech 21 GED 2112 TIGHT switch

Hey all,

I have a new Tech 21 GED 2112 rack. I've seen some discussion on this forum about accessing internal jumpers for "MUTE/BYPASS" and "TIE", to combine the outputs of the DRIVE and DEEP sections.

Upon opening mine, I found another - "TIGHT" - which appears to be the same definition switch found on the YYZ pedal and DI-2112 models of this product. The default position appears to be disabled.

I thought I would post a pic if anyone was interested in trying it.

Interesting - I wonder if this is only on new units as I've never heard of this before. Maybe I need to open up my unit (which is about 3 years old) and doublecheck...

I just opened and compared my "Black Box " unit with my new "cardboard Box " unit....No tight jumper on the old one... jumper present on the new one.....Tech 21 said to go ahead and try it out if I wanted, but its on full time once the jumper is moved.....
