So, I've been wanting to get a head and cab setup for a while so with the intention of buying a cab, I bought a b4R ampeg head from a pawn shop (and tested it on a friends cab). It said it was a 1000 watt head, so now I assume I need to find a cab that can handle 1000 watts (correct me if I'm wrong). Now I'm open to pretty much any cab, looking more towards 410's if possible though. I'd say my budget is around $750 right now. If I need to wait I will..wondering if there are any good options out there for that price range?

Here's a link to the owner's manual. I highly recommend reading it to understand how to use this behemoth.
http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/B4R.PDF

From the Ampeg website:
RMS Power Output (2 ohms): 500-Watts x 2
RMS Power Output (4 ohms): 340-Watts x 2/1000-Watts (mono)
RMS Power Output (8 ohms): 205-Watts x 2/700-Watts (mono)

You don't need to use both amplifier sides, but the power is available.
You don't need to try and dump all the power into one speaker, either.

I think I guess
i have had the MB about 15 years and all is original with out failure. I do not run it over !/2 volume using a 800 watt head. I got the good one?
Playing every week it works for me. This means when I am ready to if ever get another replacement MB it will be better. That is good news.
