It is so rare these basses come on the market. Had a Chinese one years ago. Just bagged this US made one from Chicago Music Exchange! Can't wait to get it! Just over 7 lbs! Gotta love that!

Well my new TBC came in, beautiful bass!! Super light weight. BUT thank you hurricane Irma for knocking out my power, will not have a chance to try it out yet. Funny thing, this is the second time I received a bass right after a hurricane. The first time was right after hurricane Wilma, the next day the postman delivered a Fender Japan Fretless Jazz bass I purchased from a music shop in Tokyo. So I called it my Wilma bass. This new TBC bass.....well is my Irma bass now!

Looks great! I'm glad to see you are in so little peril that you are hanging with us. I mean that. Congrats on the new pretty bass AND for not having any serious difficulty with the storm.

Here's hoping you get to jam in air conditioning very soon.

Well now that we power here I had a chance to use the new bass rightfully named "Irma" a few times. Feels and plays great and love the weight. Tone wise, ah. Could use some improvement. Very middy sounding. I am sure allot has to do with the cheap Chinese pickups and preamp. But there is definitely potential! Will be dropping in a Audere preamp next week, so stay tuned.

So installed an Audere Classic preamp. After sorting some grounding issues everything is put back together and sounding awesome. It's like a totally different bass. Was concerned the pickups which I am sure are cheap Chinese ones would restrict the Audere tone. But luckily no. Very pleased with the outcome!

I've been thinking about replacing the preamp in mine too. The only weak link in an otherwise quite nice bass.
